About

Our research program conducts lab, greenhouse, and field experiments to test various production management strategies and provide recommendation to growers.

Furthermore, our research focuses on understanding how nutritional qualities of vegetable crops are affected by environmental parameters and how to measure and quantify their antioxidants with analytical chemistry techniques. All of our projects help to advance our knowledge in the field of vegetable physiology and production systems.

For example, we are examining how heat stress and nitrogen fertilization affect yield, nutritional quality, and postharvest storage of vegetables. In addition, we are examining how plant growth regulators affect vegetable yields, nutrient uptake, and antioxidants.
